Despite this daunting challenge, Chase’s love for hockey never wavered. His journey is a testament to his resilience and determination, as he continues to persevere in all aspects of his life.

Chase’s athletic prowess extends beyond hockey; he has played soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and even practiced martial arts. However, hockey has always held a special place in his heart. His success in sports has not come easily. Chase has had to navigate the world in a unique way, learning Braille in second grade and mastering cane skills for mobility the following year.

The barriers Chase faces are numerous, but he never complains. Instead, he has learned to adapt and cope with his surroundings to achieve his goals. Despite being legally blind, Chase excels on the ice, finding his teammates to make plays, scoring goals, and winning most of the face-offs he takes.

Chase is currently in his first season in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the BWC Academy U15 team. In 36 regular season games the Burnaby, BC forward recorded 5 goals and 21 assists.
